Fit, care and the questions we get asked most
One size, 58 cm, with a rear bungee and chin strap that tune the fit to you. Rinse in fresh water after a surf and it’ll look after you for years.
What size are your surf hats?
All current OCEANlab hats are one size — 58 cm — with an adjustable rear bungee and chin strap for a secure, customisable fit. This size fits most teens and adults. A kids' collection is in development.
Can I wear them for swimming and surfing?
Yes. Our hats are designed with surfing and time in the water in mind. They're lightweight, quick-drying, and feature a secure chin strap to help keep them in place during surf sessions.
How do I care for my OCEANlab hat?
Rinse your hat with fresh water after use in saltwater and allow it to air dry. Avoid machine washing or exposing it to high heat to help maintain the fabric, shape, and performance.
Do you ship outside New Zealand?
Not yet — we currently ship within New Zealand only. If you're overseas and keen, email hello@oceanlab.surf and we'll let you know when international shipping opens up.
